CHANGES AND PROMOTIONS:

Wellington", Thursday. The following postal changes are announced:—Mr. C. M. Price, chief clerk: Grevmoirth, promoted to the position <» assistant inspector of post offices in the' West Coast district: Mr. W. Stephenson, postmaster at Wyndham, promoted to the position of postmaster at Tain ape in place of Mr. J. Owens, who is retiring on superannuation ; Mr. J. R. Crocker, postmaster at Waiau replaces Mr. Algie at Queenstown : Mr. W. Cooper, counter clerk at D unfed in appointed to the position of senior clerk there, which has been raised in grade: Mr. A. E. St. Clair, counter clerk, is appointed to a similar position m Auckland; Mr. J. Morton, senior telephone exchange clerk at Napier, appointed senior telegraphist and exchange clerk at Hastings; he is to be replaced in Napier by Mr. Horniman, of the Hastings telephone exchange.
