ENTERTAINMENTS.

H» BUCKLER-PAGET SEASON. The box plans for the entire Bucklcr-Paget season open at Wildman and Arey's this morning. Limited to six nights and one matinee, the company from the Little Theatre, Sydney, headed by Hugh Buckler and Violet Paget will, during that period, present a series of distinguished playsplays by distinguished authors, plays which now form.part of the library of all stagelovers. Widely-read and widely-played as have been all his works, it remained yet for Sir A. W. Pinero to establish his fortune when he wrote " His House in Order," and it it gratifying to know this ond has now been achieved. Bernard Shaw augmented the world-wide number of his admirers when " Fanny's First Play" was produced, and Arnold Bennett, whose works are always popular, has the satisfaction of seeing his play, "The Great Adventure," in tho second year of its success in London. The series for this season will be completed by " Tho Gay Lord Quel," Pinero, and "The School for Scandal." "THE DANDIES." The extensive repertoire of " The Dandies " Company will bo called upon to-night, and another complete change of programme will be presented. There was a large and enthusiastic audience last evening. OPERA HOUSE. . An excellent programme is being presented tins week at tho Opera House. The audience last night was large, and the various turns met with its entire approval. PICTURE ENTERTAINMENTS. An excellent programme has been arranged for. tho change at tho Princess Theatre to-day. "The White Squaw," a thrilling American drama, is the chief attraction. A realistic detective drama called "Shadows" will bo the "star" feature in tho new programmo at the King George Theatre to-day. A fine series of pictures will be submitted for %he first time to-night at tho Alhambra Theatre. " Hearts of Women" heads the new series to bo presented to-day at the Globe Theatre. The new programme of continuous pictures to bo shown to-day at the Queen's Theatre will be headed by a .sensational drama called "The Lie." The now Empress Theatre continues to be well patronised. An entirely now scries of films will be screened to-night. A change of programme will take place to-day at the Newton Picture Palace. The current programme at the King's Theatro contains a film that has proved very popular, called " Our King's Navy." •'Paid in Full" is the "star" attraction at the Lyric and West End Theatres.
