LADIES' PROVINCIAL OUP. WON BY AUCKLAND. The provincial cup tournament, under the auspices, of the Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association, was concluded at Hemuera yesterday afternoon, in pleasant weather. By defeating Paeroa, Auckland becomes the holder of the trophy for the ensuing twelve months. Thames defeated Whangarei in the other match. The All-England ladies' representative hockey team will arrivo by steamer from Gisborne this morning, and will be met by officials of the local association and 0! the Victoria League, The visitors will be tendered an .-official reception by the Mayor nt the Town Hail at- eleven o'clock this morning, and will afterwards be entertained at morning teaThe team will then bo free for the day, and to-morrow a visit to tlie ostrich farm nt Psorata has been arranged. Ou Saturday evening a. dance will be held nt the Training College in honour of the English team's visit to Auckland. AUCKLAND REPRESENTATIVE TEAM The selectors, Messrs. Milnos, Norton, and Smith, have chosen .the following team to represent Auckland against England at Rorauora ou Saturday altoruoon.
