GERMAN ORGANISATION. ] ARRESTS IN BRUSSELS. THOUSANDS OF SUSPECTS. 'Received August 13, 12 15 a.m.) Brussels, August 12. Three thousand Germans are awaiting trial by court-martial in Belgium for espionage. It is reported that 100 have been shot, Spies are being discovered in every direction, disguised as priests, boy scouts, and women. Several German officers have been arrested disguised in Belgian uniforms. An organised system of German espionage has been uncart lied, business men of high standing being involved. It is reported that 3500 rifles were found in shops in Antwerp in cases labelled " Bacon." ESPIONAGE IN BRITAIN. TWO SENTRIES ATTACKED. OTHER ACTS OF VIOLENCE, London, August 11. A man in hiding shot at a sentry on the railway at Rcdhill, in Surrey, and escaped. Two explosions occurred in a German baker's shop at Easthara, the entrance to the Manchester Ship Canal. Seven people were injured, including three firemen. A spy who was challenged fired his revolver at a sentry at one of the English arsenals, the sentry succumbing to his wounds. The spy escaped. Numerous arrests of suspects have been made, but many have been discharged, including one arrested for poisoning horses on a transport.
