HOSPITAL ACCOMMODATION.
SUPERINTENDENT'S VIEWS.
" The Auckland Hospital is very congested and has been so for some time past," remarked Dr. McGuire, medical superintendent, at a meeting of the Hospital and CharitabJo Aid Board last evening. He went on to say that the surgical department needed to' be extended and this could be done by removing wards 11 and 12. These wards were a blot on the hospital, and at present were in a disgraceful state. They would have to bo renovated without delay, for they were not fit for the reception of patients. As it was a 6pecial meeting to discuss other business the board did not pass any resolution concerning the matter.
