STEWARD FALLS OVERBOARD.
MID-OCEAN EXPERIENCE.
[bt telegraph.—press association.] Wellington, Tuesday. A steward named Stanley C. Adams, on the steamer Athenic, had a marvellous C6capo from death on the- voyago from Tencriffo to Capetown. He fell overboard while a heavy sea was nmning._A boat was lowered, and he was picked up after 16 minutes' immersion. Adams states he kept all his clothes on, but he was nearin* collapse when the rescue boatarrived.
