ECONOMICAL COUGH SYRUP.

EASILY MADE AT HOME.

USE THIS RECIPE.

(BY A QUALIFIED CHEMIST.)

This rccipo makes a pint of better Cough Syrup than can be bought ready prepared. Simnlo as it is, no better remedy can bo obtained for general family purposes, and the fact that it makes a pint/at a total cost of 2s instead of 12s is making it wonderfully popular. Get one bottle of Mean's Essence from your chemist or grocer. Mix it with sugar, treacle, and water, as per simple directions on Hean's Essence label,

The mixture you thus prepare in your own homo saves quit-o a lot of money. It takes hold of a cough in a way that means business from the first dose. It is splendid for _ soro throats, hoarseness, croup, bronchitis, asthma, and the usual throat and lung troubles. It does not contain any. poison. Give a few drops to a child or a spoonful to an adult. It can bo taken in water or without, as you prefer.
