DOMAIN AND HILLS.
Sir—lt is good to note the rousing of interest in regard to preserving the contour of Auckland's hills. A watchful eye is needed over our Domain. The late successful Exhibition being over, its precincts and boundaries should be freed from all buildings which tend to destroy its park-like beauty. Drill halls and such like, although undoubtedly necessary, are distinctly out of place "in pleasure grounds, or on their boundaries. Newmarket. C. McD. Macgregor.
