NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. i

THE AUCKLAND TEAM. The committee of the Northern Boxing Association has decided to send a full team to compete at the New Zealand championship carnival at Wa.tijrn.niii on Jnlv 22 and 23. The team, which will leave Auckland on Sunday evening, is as follows:—Bantam-weight, H. Gilchrist; feather-weight, N. Bennetts: light-weight, M. James; welter-weight, J. Grantham; middle-weight, P. W. Class; heavy-weight, C. Savory. Mr. Moss Rallin will accompany the team as manager, and Mr. C. K. Sanders will act as the association's delegate at the annual conference of the New Zealand Association, The association has arranged a most attractive programme for August 4. Alex. Poolev and Harry Marquet, professional heavy-weights, are to meet in a 15 round contest for a purse and expenses amountinn to £100, and Rcgio and AH. Bromwich. professional light-weights, are to meet in a 15 round contest for a purse and expenses, amounting to £60. A preliminary amateur bout will also be arranged, The Taumaranni amateur tenm, which competed so successfully in this week's tournament was taken for a motor-drive yesterday, and left by last evening's .Main Trunk train for home.
