The pupils of the school, he said, had derived great pleasure from giving their mites to such a worthy object, and in practically every case the subscription came from their own pocket-money and not from the pockets of their parents. Mr. Garlick, on behalf of the members of the board of the Remuera Children's Home, and of the captains of teams and I collectors, then presented Mr. and Mrs. , Todd Smith with a handsomely-bound volume suitably inscribed, as a mark of appreciation of the recipients' services during the campaign. The board expects to house the children, in the home at the end of next month, and the official opening will take place in October.
