FOOTBALLER'S DEATH.
BLOW FROM A BOTTLE. POSSIBILITY OF A SEQUEL. [by telegraph.—peiss association] Hamilton, Monday. A YotfHO footoaller named Walter H. Swainson, of Otorohanga, who received an injury to his head after a match with a Te Kuiti team, at Otorohanga, on June 27, died last week.
An inquest was opened at Otorohanga. After medical evidence had been taken, the inquest was adjourned until next Monday. It is stated that Swainson was struck on the head with a bottle. Possibly there may be serious developments.
