London, July 10. In the House of Commons to-day Mr. Rowland Hunt, Unionist member for Ludlow, asked how many weeks' supply of wheat .and flour was available in the event of sudden war. Could assurance be given that ! the country was safe against starvaI tion ?
J Mr. Asquith, in reply, said that he thought in the public interest a reply should be given. The question was kept under continuous observation, and he could give an assurance everything that could be done was being done.
