By Telegraph— Association— (Received July 12, 5,5 p.m.) London, July 11. PRICES OF METALS. Bar silver is quoted at 2s 1 lM6d per standard ounce. Copper, £61 7s 6d to £61 15s. Electrolytic, £63 15s. Antimony, 2s 6d to 2s 7d. Aluminium, £82 to £84. JUTE. An August shipment has been sold at £28. COPRA. The market is firmer. South Sea is in moderate supply, and small business is doing. Bags, £23 15s to £24 2s 6d. COTTON. Cotton js quoted 1 at 7.06 d per lb. RUBBER. Para, 2s lOJd; plantation, 2s 2d; smoked, 2s OJd. HEMP. The market is firmer at a high point. A fair June-Julv shipment has been sold at £24 ss.
The. Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cablegram from London:— Tallow: We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton, 34s 3d ; per cwt.; good beef, 32s 6d; mixed, 28s 6d. The market has a lower tendency. Wheat: Wo havo sold an Australian parcel at 35s 6d c.i.f. The market is quiet but steady. Buyers are holding off, and the outlook is uncertain.
Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, are in receipt, of the following cablegram from Londonßabbit Skins Poor selection, 3050 offered, 2500 sold. Light racks unchanged, cutters, other descriptions Id to lid lower. Furriers' rabbit skins Id to 2d lower. -The market is irregular. Frozen Meat: Market dull. Any change in prices is in favour of buyers. Butter: Market firm. Total imports into United Kingdom for week ending Saturday last equalled 93,000cwt as compared with 92,000cwt imported during corresponding period of last year. The Copenhagen official • quotation is two kroners higher. Colonial unchanged. Cheese: Market steady. White, 655; cofcurcd, 645. BUTTER AND EGGS. ' The wholesale quotations for butter and eggs for the week ending July 18 are as followsßutter: Factory Is o£d per lb; farmers', 8d per lb. Hen eggs, Is 43 per dozen; duck eggs, Is 3d per dozen. TRADE WITH BRISTOL. [BT.raEGIIArn.—PBESS association.] Wellington, Sunday. A meeting of the New Zealand Board of Control of the Bristol and the Dominions Producers' Association, Ltd., was held in Wellington, representatives being present from Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, wairarapa, and Canterbury. The present method of dealing with rejects by the various freezing works was considered, and a definite proposal was approved for submission to the members of tho association. The question of adopting a uniform system of grading, meat shipped to the association throughout the Dominion was also considered and approved, subject to the final approval of the Bristol manager, Major Norton, when he arrives in the Dominion in a few weeks' time. It was decided that, subject to the approval of the Bristol manager, the association next season should undertake the handling of wool through Liverpool. '' *
