LONDON MARKETS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, June 28. RABBITS. The market is neglected and unchanged. FROZEN MEAT. Mutton: North Island, 3£d; best brands, 4 l-16d. Lambs: Medium Canterbury, 5 13-16 d; Southland, 6d; North Island, 5 15-16 d; selected brands, 6 l-16d. Australian : Sheep, first quality, 3Jd. South American: Ewes, 3 9-16 d. Other meats unchanged. WHEAT. Tho market is very dull. Australian is offerine at 35s 9d. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,115,000 quarters, and for the Continent 2,346,000 quarters. Atlantic shipments amount to 467,000 and Pacific Coast 19,000. Hie total for Europe from America is 1,685,000 and from Australia 115,000.

Inferior quality has been Belling at, hinds 4d, fores 2|d.

BUTTER, The market is steady. Danish, steady, 116s to 118s; New Zealand (prices nominal), 110s to 114s; Australian, slow demand, 100s to 104s; Irish, firm and quiet, 108s to 110s; Siberian, steadv, 98s to 102s. CHEESE. The market is slightly weaker, with loss demand. Canadian new make (slow trade), white 628 to 635, coloured 63s 6d; i Now Zealand (dull), white 62s 6d to 63s i 6d, coloured 63s 6d to 64s 6d ; English; Cheddar (market steadv), new make 68s j to 725, fine 62s to 665. ' HEMP. The market is dull and supplies of fibre are large. New Zealand good fair £25 10s, fair £23, forward shipment at the same price; Manila, fair current £24, October to December shipment £25. The output from Manila for the week was 18,000 bales. HOPS. Tho English market is quiet but steady. The American market is firm, with an bpward tendency. The Continental market is steady, with fair business doing. WOOL. Tho market is very firm, with largo demand for bettor grades for America. Prospects aro favourable. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., aro in receipt of the following cable from their head office, London:— Cheese: Markot dull. Prices, Is per cwt lower. Butter : Market steady at present prices. Total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ending June 20 is 82,000cwt, against 93,000cwt for tho same period _ last year. The Copenhagen official quotation is 1 kroner higher. We quote: Danish butter, 116 a per cwt; finest Australian, salted 104s, unsaltcd 108s. Frozon Meat: Markot dull at last quotations. Australian Merino Sheepskins : Combing skins, id higher; clothing skins unchanged. Crossbred combing skins, |d higher; clothing skins, id to Jd higher. The annual report of the directors of the Devonport Steam Ferry Company, Ltd., to bo submitted to the" 19th annual meeting of shareholders called for Thursday next states that tho profit and loss account shows that tho net profit for the year is £6014 As KM. Tim balance brought forward last year, after payment of dividend, was £7800 13s 2d, making a total of £13,815 3s. An intorim dividend was paid in December last for tho half-year ended October 31, 1913, amounting to £2517 5s 3d, leaving a balance at the credit of profit and loss account of £11,297 17s 9d. The directors recommend that a dividend at the rate of 10 per cent, per annum, for the half-year ended April 30, 1914. bo paid to shareholders, and that the balance be carried forward to next year's account.
