London, Juno 20. The High Commissioner for New Zealand (Mr. T. Mackenzie) presided at the New Zealand dinner at the Trocadero last night. The guests included Earl Ranfurly and Lord Plunkct,
Earl Ranfurly observed that in view of the savings of the people he could not understand why New Zealand camc to London for loans.
Mr. Mackenzie explained that the country was developing so fast that it required the local accumulations as well as outside capital.
