FREEHOLD TITLES GRANTED.
OPENING UP NEW AREAS.
A mekttxg of the Auckland Land Board was held yesterday in the Government Buildings. There were present : Messrs. H. M. Skeet (Commissioner of Crown Lands, J. 0. Rutherford, A. R. Harris, and W. Johns.

Hauraki Pastoral Lease: Blocks XIII. and XVI., Hastings S.D., and IV. and VII., Whitianga S.D., 7850 a. Education Reserve: Section 77, Makarau Parish, 76|a.
The proposals made by the following County and Borough Councils and Road Boards for the expenditure of "thirds" and "fourths" were approved—Otamatea County Council (thirds), £152; Raglan County Council (thirds), £85 16s Sd; Tauranga County Council (thirds!, £342 3s Id. (fourths) £12 18s lOd: Waikiekie Road Board (thirds), £3 14s 9d ; Ruarangi Road Board (thirds), £15 16s; Taumr.runui Borough Council (thirds), £13 lis lOd.
