POSITION OF FINANCES.
A meeting of the Board of Governors of the Auckland Grammar School was held yesterday, Sir Maurice O'Rorke (chairman) presiding. There were also present: The Hon. J. A. Tole, K.C., Dr. Eoberton, Messrs. A. R. Harris, A. Kidd, and G. W. Murray. The following financial statement, for a period cover rag five months, was received and adopted Receipts : General, £18,762 3s; rents, £470 Is 6d ; fees, £177 28; sale of stone, £19 12a 6d; total, £15,429 4s. Expenditure: General, £11,567 Os 3d ; salaries. £840 Is 3d ; school requirement*, repairs to property, emi sundries. £151 2s 8d ; total, £12.958 4» Id Credit balance on June 24, £64 iU Ids lid. . It was agreed, on tfa« recommendation of the School Committed, that the playground formation be continued, and thai Mr. J J. Craig have permission to remove stone from the ground ; that notlco boards bo erected warning trespassers oH the Mount Eden playground; and that separate transfers bo approved in regard to lota 18 and 19.
