WAIROA STEAMER SERVICE.
INCREASE PROPOSED.
[BY telegraph.— CORRESPONDENT.] Dabgavhxb, Thursday. In view of the fast-increasing development of settlement in the Northern Wairoa district, the KAipara Steamship Company has announced that it intends to provide a better service between Helensville and Dargaville. The present weekly service consists of four wholly passenger trips and two combined passenger and cargo ones, the latter being largely patronised by the travelling public. The company bow intends to build another steamer of the Aotea class and when the present mail contract, expires, to tender for ft daily service.
