HAUTAPU CAMP.

Sir,—As one of the public interested in tho territorials, I wish to impress on the authorities tliat they should choose the summer season for the time of holding the camp, when if wet rough weather is encountered it will be warm. Then, I say, no expense should bo spared to protect the health of the territorials. I notice they are supplied with warm overcoats, which would hold nearly a, bucket of water. I have dono considerable roughing in my day, and so would suggest the sunuur. season for the camp, and oiled calico coats instead of the woollen one-; for tho troops. A little loughing won't hurt them if they can bo kept dry, and have not to sleep in wet clothes. William Richardson-.
