REVIEW OF CADETS.
GOVERNOR'S COMPLIMENT.
TROPHY WON BY ST. STEPHEN'S.
The favourable impression formed by Hip Excellency the Governor of the display made by the Auckland and North Auckland senior cadets when he reviewed them on Wednesday afternoon has been communicated to General Godley by His Excellency's military secretary, Captain C. Shawe. The message is as follows: —
"His Excellency desires you to convey to tho officers, N.C.O.'s, and boys concerned, his appreciation of the great succors of to-day's parade—a success which was attained only by the steadiness and attention of each individual. He ' wishes particularly to congratulate Captain Morton and thoso who, with him. were responsible for tho various arrangements, and whoso attention to detail ensured such a gratifying result." ..-...,., ....... The challenge cup presented for competition among the senior cadets of the Auck- : land district as a trophy for the company I presenting the bc6t appearance and general efficiency, has. been awarded to tho 21st (S£. Stephen's native school) company. The cup was originally presented by the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire, and won by the New Zealand senior cadets at the Toronto Exhibition in 1912. The judges were Col. R. Logan, 0.C.D., and Col. W. G.! Braithwaite.
