Sir, —Your Papakura correspondent i states that the public do not take any ( interest in the library, while as a fact a' ; considerable portion of the public is very 1 much interested in it. The report further ] Says that the library is managed by a i email committee, appointed by the sub- 1 scribers. Well, the committee is small ccr- i tainly, for it is a committee of one, but ' as far as I can learn no meeting of sub- i scribers has been held, and no committee < appointed. My main object in writing is to say that before this one gentleman takes upon himself to ask the Town Board • to take the library over the subscribers ought to have been called together and consulted. This has not been done. Subscriber.
