SAILORS' HOME.
The council of the Auckland Sailors' Home met Ja-st evening. There were pre* cut: Messrs. K. Phipps (president), P. J. Nerheny, H. Symons, E. H. Potter, and Captain Thomas. It was announced that the average number of seamen in the home for the month was 36.5. Accounts, amounting to £188 15s 3d, wore passed lor payment. The council decided to hold a harbour excursion early in April, and with a view to making the outing a success several professional people are to be asked to give their assistance .on the occu.moii. The object of the excursion is to provide funds so that the mission hall may be reroofed.
