THE FATE OF BENTON.
INQUIRY IMPOSSIBLE
London, March 17.
In reply to a question in the House of Commons yesterday, Mr. F. D. Acland (Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs) declared that since it was impossible for a commission of inquiry to cross the Mexican frontier, the proposed examination of Benton's body had been abanloned.
