This rofk, be seated, constituted a danger to shipping, and he recommended that it be marked by a beacon. The chairman (Mr. J. If. (Unison) moved that a beacon be crcftcrl forthwith. The area of rock ;was a large one, and though it had sft of ■water "ver it at low tide it was a danger to vetvls with deep draught. A beacon, at a c.M of £30 or £40, would be a sufficient precaution to take. Mr. E. W. Alison slid that, already three vessels had •truck lie rock in question, which was fight in the fairway. The motion to Greet a I paeon was carried.
