The rumours, however, are absolutely devoid of foundation.
FRANK INDIGNATION.
Times and Sydney Sun Services. (Received March 6, 5.40 p.m.)
St. Petersburg, March 5.
The press has assumed an attitude of the frankest indignation regarding the ill-will displayed by Austria towards her neighbour, and declare that it is ridiculous to say that Russia is planning to attack her neighbours. The Austrian articles are regarded as a transparent attempt to intimidate Russia into her power by submissiveness.
