Tmc Stock Exchange was dosed yesterday on account of the holiday.
Eldon Road, Mount Eden, is to be closed for the next two months to vehicular traffic during the progress of road works.
A branch of the Auckland Automobile Association was formed at Cambridge on Wednesday night. A largo number of members was enrolled.
Tho Auckland stage employees' dispute will be heard before the Conciliation Council, presided over by the commissioner (Mr. T. Harle Giles), at the Supremo Court Buildings at a-quarter past ten o'clock this morning.
For a space of about two hours yesterday the water running into the tanks at the Government aquarium at the Exhibition became so discoloured and cloudy that visitors found it almost impossible to distinguish tho fish. .
