Yesterday's Proceedings. Tho two concerts by the Royal Artillery Bind attracted a largo proportion of yesterday's visitors to the Exhibition. Tomorrow the hand will give; their last concert prior to going on tour. Amongst other popular items will be tho " 1812 Overture " with full battle effocts. Tho conductor of tho band, Mr. E. C. Strctton, has been presented with a valuable and antique greenstone pendant by the afftives of Kihikihi as a token of the Maoris' appreciation of the band's service, nderland Park was also well patronised yesterday, several special attractions being provided. A sensational wire-walk-iug act, which included a slide from a heig'at through a mass of flame, elicited much applanso from tho onlookers. Evening patrons wero treat-,'d to a fine display of lfreworks, bombs, 'octets, and other pyrotechnic effects. 'He attendance at th« Exhibition yesterday was well up to the average. The total . number of admissions during the day was M 94, this figure being made up of 3427 adults and 507 children, who actually paid tor admission, and 1500 season-ticket widens. Both the aquarium and art gallery wore well patronised, the former attracting 311 visitors and the latter about 160.

Fire Brigade Demonstration. On? of tho meet interesting and spectacular of the events arranged for the entertainment of Exhibition visitors takes place on February 6 and 7, when there ■will bo a big demonstration by fire brigade] from all parts of the Dominion. There will be about 100 fire brigades represented at this demonstration, the number of firemen taking part being between seven hundred and eight hundred. Arrangements for an elaborate programme have been completed, and the Auckland District United Fire Brigades' Association, supported by the Exhibition authorities, are offering prize money to the value of about £150. As practically every volunteer fire brigade throughout the Dominion will bo represented at the demonstration, tie various competitions are sure to be keenly contested. Tho programme includes a ladder race for one man, a reel and ladder race, and a disabled hose event for five men, rescuo and coupling event« for five men against time, and a hose, hydrant, and union race. ' In addition to this programme there will be several spectacular events, including a rescue from a burning •building. Tho Auckland Challenge Shield, which is at present held by the Onehuiiga brigade, will be competed for during the demonstration. This will be the only trophy which cannot be won by a brigade from outside the Auckland district. If it can be arranged the combined brigades will organise a torchlight procession through tho streets of the city on one of the two nights of tbe demonstration.

Fireworks Display. Another largo crowd is expected to bo present in the Exhibition grounds on Saturday night—the occasion, of the third Exhibition fireworks display. Arrangements Lave been made to nave the display in the same place as the previous ones. All the set-pieces will be built up on high stages, k> that everyone will have a good view of what '3 going on. The majority of the fireworks, however, will be aerial, with a profusion of rockets and bombs. The display will start at 9 p.m., a warning bomb being fired a few minutes earlier. Ae the rocket sticks will fall in the direction of the Domain Cricket Ground, spectators are warned to keep away from this point, as it will be a dangerous locality.
