Te Aboha, Wednesday. Tnj monthly mooting of the Piako County Council was held yesterday. PresentMessrs. W. P. Chepmoll (presiding), w' Lockyer. W. H. Milliken. W. Maiscy, and J. B. Thomas.

The Hon. W. H. Berries. Minister for Railways, informed the council that the traffic at the Waihou Station did not warrant tho appointment of a porter. It was decided to write and ask the Minister for Railways to favourably consider the appointment of a porter at tho Waihou Station.

It was agreed to draw up specifications for the sanding of the Waitoa-Matamata Road, from the bridge near Scott's, and about 150 chains, to Laird's boundary The following debit balances as at December 20 were reported .--Walton Riding, £464; Mornnsvillo. £565: Waitoa, £437- Waihou £33: ,»-,,•, *• £-2 ,' 7; M anawaru.* £1106.
