MR. MASSEY'S HEALTH
BAY OF PLENTY TRIP DEFERRED.
A telegram from Wellington states that tho Prime Minister (tht Right Hon. W. F. Mjssey) is steadily improving in health, and that he is now able to leave hie room for a few .hours daily. He, howler, is not able yet to leave his house. Acting upon medical advice, Mr. Massey has been compelled to postpone his visit to the Bay of Plenty, in company with the Hon. W. H. Hemes, for some weeks.
The Hon. W. H. Herries, Minister for Railways and Native Affairs, accompanied By his private secretary (Mr. L. E. Johnson), left Auckland by the Rotorua express yesterday morning for Tirau, where he was to open a new post office yesterday afternoon. Mr. Herries will proceed to Rotorua to-day, and will return to Auckland about, the end of this week. The Hon. P. "M. B. Fitter, Minister for Marine, will make an official inspection of the Harbour Board's works today. He will address the members of the Reform Club to-night.
