DISSATISFIED MUSICIANS.
EMPLOYERS OBSTINATE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received January 5, 9.40 p.m.) Sydney, January 5. The musicians engaged at the picture shows refused to-day to play at matinees unless they were guaranteed payment. The employers have reduced a recent award, and refused to go outside its provisions. Many of the musicians ceased work, and pianolas and other makeshifts were brought into service. When the men offered themselves for their evening engagements their services were declined.
