Whanoarei, Monday. Dl'RlMi the oast month Aubiey's Island, noiir the entrance to Whangarei Harbour, has beer, all ehject of admiration to visitors on ai-i'iiuiit of the native liosh that covered the island to the water's edge, the most striking feature being pohutukawa trees in full bloom. Unfortunately during the New Year holidays, a visiting launch party landed theie and as the result of tire the bush was devastated.
