MAROONED SAILORS.
APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received December 11 11.10 p.m.) New York, December 12. The Navy Department appeals to any ships that are likely to be sailing in the Southern Pacific to succour the eight American sailors now marooned on Easter Island as the result of the abandonment of the schooner Eldorado in June. The captain recently arrived at San Francisco.
