AGGRIEVED SENATORS.
COMMENT BY PREMIER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, December 12. The attention of the Senate was yesterday drawn to a newspaper - report of a speech by Mr. Cook (Federal Premier), at Parramatta. Tho Premier was represented to have said the language that has emanated from the Senate would not be heard in a pothouse. Senator Millen (Minister for Defence) stated that ho had written to Mr. Cook, who replied, quoting a largo number of samples of the language of Senators, and explaining that his comment thereon was that it would not bo tolerated in a' pothouse. The Senate, by 25 votes to 4, passed a resolution that Mr. Cook's language was offensive.
