LOSSES OF OIL TRUST. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, December 11. A noisy meeting of the Oil Trust, created in 1910, which is largely interested in the Taranaki Oil Wells, Ltd., yesterday appointed a committee to consult the directors respecting, new business, and any proceedings respecting the money which ha» been lost. A resolution reducing the capital was postponed.

FRUIT AND PRODUCE MARKET. The market has been much duller this week than last, and a decline in the price of fruit generally has been experienced, with the exception of tomatoes, which have improved both in value and supply. Gooseberries have met a disastrous market from a grower's standpoint, and very little improvement is likely to occur. Lemons are more plentiful and easier. Hothouse grapes are selling well. Judging by the opening prices for plums mid pcaflies, the prospects are anything but bright for growers. Values that have been accepted at the present are much lower than was anticipated. It is hoped that this is only temporary, as the weather has militated against the retailers' operations to some considerable extent.' The apple market is over supplied with large shipments due again on Tuesday next. In dairy produce both butter and eggs are forward 7 in increased supplies, with slightly lower prices ruling. Poultry: The market, as is usual at . this time of the year, was heavily overstocked, consequently prices suffered,, A large proportion of the birds to hand were in very poor condition. •'.";'•■:-., FIELD PRODUCE. : to P ?l ftt fiT : n Lc!Cal ' p T rime i £4 , mcdi «m, 3s «> isM. Thames, nine allotments at Cofoinandel were sold for £13 10s. The allotment in Painell, having a 66ft frontage by 100 ft, with a house of nino rooms thereon, was withdrawn at £900, and the same course was adopted for the allotment fronting Remucra Road, which produced bids up to £5 10s per foot.
