ESSAY COMPETITION. The annual essay competition promoted by the Literature and Education Committee of the Auckland branch of the Victoria League has resulted in the following prizes being awarded:—-Morta Fisher 1, B. Bayliss2, M. Egerton 3, all of the Girls' Grammar School. In the junior division prizes were awarded as follows:—S. McCarrol (Marerotu School) .1, Alan Kayel (To Awamutu School) 2, L.
