STEFANSSON EXPEDITION.
LOSS OF A SCHOONER.

(Received December 10, 6.20 p.m.) Ottawa, December W. The auxiliary schooner Mary Sachs, which Stefansson, the leader of the Canadian expedition to the Arctic regions, thought to' be safe at Colletson's Point, was caught and crushed to pieces in the ice off the coast of Alaska towards the end of^,November. All the provisions and scientific instruments were lost. It is presumed that the crew is safe.
