The special correspondent, Mears, despatched by the New York Evening Sun on a round-the-world trip, which he is to complete in 35 days, is expected to arrive in America at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, thus beating the record by nearly four days. The lightning tourist left London on July 8, and since then has visited France, Germany, Russia, Siberia, Japan and Canada.
