LAND FOR WORKERS' HOMES
SECTIONS BOUGHT AT TE PUKE, j [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Rotorua, Wednesday. The "Secretary for Labour (Mr. J. Lomas), accompanied by Mr. W. Newton, officer in charge of the Auckland office of the Labour Department, and Mr. W. Temple, architect to the Department, arrived in Rotorua I this afternoon, by motor-car, from Taui ranca, where they inspected some land under offer for the erection of workers homes. Mr. Lomas, on behalf of the Department, bought 10 quarter-acre sections for this purpose at Te Puke- The party will leave by the express train to-morrow morning for Te Kuiti, in- order to look at some land with a view to the erection of workers' homes there.
