FIRE AT MANGAHEO.
CARRIAGE * FACTORY DAMAGED,
[by telegraph.—press association.] Pahiatua, Wednesday. Messrs. Battcket and Co.'s Crown carriage works at Mangaheo, were badly damaged by fire at an early hour this morning. A large quantity of stock in the upstairs portion was also damaged. The outbreak is believed to have originated in the office'in the front portion of the building. The insurances are in the State Office, the stock being insured for £700, and the building for £350.
