SHIPPING OF THE PORT.
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES. The shipping arrivals at \ the port of Auckland during the fortnight ended yes- ] terday were :—Two, Royal Mail 'steamers, three large cargo steamers; one New Zealand Government training ship, one New Zealand Government steamship, five > intercolonial or island traders, nine coasters from southern ports, four intercolonial and one foreign sailing vesselan aggregate 'of 85,685 gross tons; also 254 local coasters, of 40,284 gross tons; together a grand total of 125,968 gross tons. The departures comprised one British Dreadnought, two Royal Mail steamers, : eight' large cargo steamers, five intercolonial or island traders, nine coastal steamers for Southern ports, ,'onex New v Zealand Government training ship, and one New Zealand Government steamship—an aggregate of 128,771 gross ' tons also 245 local coasters of 38,466 gross tons; together a grand total of 167,237 gross tons. •: v.
