IN LOVE WITH THE BOARDER.
The taking of a boarder resulted in an application tor a divorce from Catherine Agnes Johnston, made by Gilbert Johnston (Dr. Bamford), the boarder in question being Ernest Henry Taylor. Petitioner stated that his wife had taken Taylor as a boarder during 1909, and had become too intimate with him after three months' acquaintance. Eventually petitioner had been compelled to break up the home to get rid ot : Taylor, and had stayed, with his wife, at his mother-in-law's house. Even then his wife had kept up her acquaintance with the exboarder, and .ultimately had followed him, in August, 1910, to Opotiki, Proceeding to Opotiki himself, he had found the pair living as Mr. and Mrs. Taylor. Since then she had not returned to him.
