PROGRESS IMPEDED.
Sir, — is pleasing to see uSTfc Tamaki 1 has brought forward the matter of the k Church property checking the advancement ; of the district. Parnell is in the same position. Now that we have joined Greater 1 Auckland, and Tamaki proposes to do so, ii<ould it not bo better for an Act to be [ passed for the city to purchase the Church r land at a fair valuation, , and then sell it on Glasgow leases for close settlement. Why should the city not have it instead of the Government? Cm Elector. , " * I _i_ _ _
