A FORTNIGHT'S SHIPPING.
BUSY PERIOD FOR THE PORT. The harbourmaster reported to the Auckland Harbour Board yesterday that for the past fortnight tie arrivals at Auckland consisted of three Royal Mail steamers, five large cargo steamers, four intercolonial or Island traders, nine coasters from Southern ports, and. one intercolonial sailer, an aggregate of 88,779 gross and 54.298 net tons; also 277 local coasters of 42,586 gross and 23,928 net tons; together a grand total of 131,365 gross and 78,226 net tons. The departures were three Royal Mail steamers, six large cargo steamers, six later-colonial or Island trader nine coasters for Southern ports, and one intercolonial sailer, an aggregate of 98,460 gross and 60,452 net tons; also 279 local coasters of 42,017 gross and 23,821 net tons; together a grand total of 140.477 J gross and 84,273 net tons. • The pilot's services were engaged by sis steamers inwards, and seven steamers outwards.
