SOUTH AUCKLAND CLUB'S MEETING. MAXWELL WINS AGAIN. • (from ot® own CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Saturday. Heavy showers fell during the night, but the clouds dispersed after ten o'clock this moming, and the South Auckland Racing Club b annual meeting was concluded in fine weather, Ihe course was m capital order. There was a very lar-o attendance, and the racing generally was of an interesting nature. Speculation was very brisk during the day, the sum of £10,569 10s fceinc pat through the machine, making the total for the meeting £18,529 10s, as compared acaii!«t £13,957 for the meeting held last year, an increase of £4562 10,. The gathering was veil managed, and the afternoon passed off successfully. Mr. Angus Gordon, one of»the stipendiary stewards, was present, but his duties were very light. Stenning, ruler of Kotiropu, was mulcted in a penalty for cutting-m in the Waikato Handicap, and R. E. Brown was censured for not keeping Clare straight during the run to the post in ihe. opening event. Following are details of the racing:—

Salvia was favourite. Geneva was first away, followed by Clare and T'nion Jack, the favourite and Try Fluke being slow to move. Medallist raced up to the leaders. He and Mumura were in charge -when fairly in the straight.
