OBITUARY.
DOWAGER EMPRESS OF CHINA. By Telegraph. -iPresi Association—Copyright. (Received February 23, 5.5 p.m.) Pekin, February 22. The death has occurred of the Dowager Empress of China. The late Empress Dowager had not attained any degree of prominence such as that enjoyed by the former Empress Dowager Tzu-hsi, who was the actual ruler of the Chinese Empire for many years. The latter died in November, 1908, on the day following the death of the Emperor Kwang-hsu.
