THE DOMAIN CRICKET GROUND.

Sir, —I was greatly surprised -when ' I visited the Cricket Ground during tho match between Canterbury and Auckland to find to my disgust the outer portion' in such a disgraceful and unsightly condition—tall, _ dry grass, furze, young oaks,_ etc. Now, sir,, I trust tho City Council will at onco put the place in order. Considering that the ground has "brought in a handsome rovenuo from the Cricket Association and others for very many years, it is the most neglected of any public reserve, while other grounds receive a lion's share of attention. The City Council charges a fairly stiff price for the use of the public grounds on special occasions and otherwise. Surely they should devote more of the revenue to keep the outer Cricket, Ground ;in good order, and also stop up many of the traps to prevent intruders crawling through. A Citizen.
