ORDER OF FORESTERS.

ANNUAL DISTRICT MEETING.

THE fortieth annual meeting of the Ancient Order of Foresters in the Auckland district was held yesterday in the Foresters' Hall, Edinburgh Street. Bro. W. A. Worrall, D.C.K., presided over a well-attended meeting, which included 32 delegates, representing 21 courts. The chairman's able address on the Order's work throughout the past year is to be printed in the minutes. As the consolidation of tbe sick funds is as yet incomplete, no exact totals could be given, but it was stated that over £2000 had been distributed during the year in sick allowances. The executive's report also showed that the valuation of the district had improved to, the extent of £24,000. and the rabio of solvency bad increased by 4s in the £1; this, it was stated, was due to the revised rules and to tho effects of consolidation. During the year two ' new courts were opened—at To Puke and at Fi-ankton Junction.
