MOUNT ALBERT RATEPAYERS.
A meeting of .ratepayers /interested in forming a: ratepayers! and electors' association in Mount Albert was held in St. Luke's Parish Hall on Tuesday evening. Mr. S. Thomas was voted to the chair. It was decided that a public meeting should be held in the Jubilee Hall, Kingsland, on Tuesday, March 11, to bring before the ratepayers the desirability of having a ratepayers and electors' association in the Mount Albert borough. A sub-committee,. consisting of Mesirs. Thomas, Kntrican, Malcolm, • Rose, Stewart, and Harrison, was appointed to draw up a;memoranda of the aims and objects for the association. It was also decided that all for holding publio meetings in different parts of the borough should be left to that committee. Sub-committees were also set up to canvass the different wards, and give information relative to the objects, etc., of the association. Delegates from other ratepayers' .associations will be invited to be present at the various meetings, 150 that the people will :be placed in possession of all particulars regarding benefits obtained in other districts.
