TRAMWAYMAN'S APPEAL
REINSTATEMENT ORDERED.

Dunedin, Tuesday. Hearing of .the appeal by George Lambom .Gripman against' his dismissal from the service of the Dunedin and Kaikorai Tram Company was concluded this afternoon. "• * V ' * y The magistrate (Mr. Widdowson), in giving his decision on behalf of the board, said the board held that Section 6 of the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910, gave the right of appeal in . all cases. .It came to the conclusion that, the appellant's dismissal from the service of the company for tho reasons given' was too, Severe, and that it should be set aside.,. ''• ' The determination of -the board was that the appellant's dismissal being too severe, it be set aside, that in lieu thereof appellant be suspended for two months from November 27, 1912, and that appellant be reinstated in the service of the company as a spare gripman on January 27. • ■/■'..■'.• . ..
