PAPAROA FROM LONDON.
HEAVY GALES ENCOUNTERED.
(BT TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Sunday. Tht. Paparoa, which arrived to-day from London, mob with heavy southerly gales between Capetown and Melbourne. One huge sea swept her decks and broke over the navigating bridge, carrying about 40ft of the starboard railing. It also smashed one of the starboard lifeboats. Twin babies died on the voyage. The vessel had 675 immigrants for Melbourne.
